About SYNAPSIS

SYNAPSIS (Synergy Network and Platform for Integrating Audiovisual Data Archiving and Stewardship in Social Sciences and Humanities) is a collaborative project funded by NWO's Thematic Digital Competence Centers (TDCC-SSH) program.

Project Goals

  • Develop an easy-to-use, open-source platform with privacy-preserving masking tools
  • Increase audiovisual data reusability while protecting privacy (GDPR compliant)
  • Provide comprehensive training programs (Masking School, workshops, tutorials)
  • Build community capacity and establish best practices for audiovisual data stewardship
